2025 - the other half

Well, better late than never. Here is the second part of the year's best.

10. Zimbru Chisinau

An unexpected trip to see a European night in Chisinau against Kazakh opponents. Make sure your seat is with the apartment block view.

9. Chania

A wonderful and charming city in Crete. Exceeded all my expectations. Does not feel Greek at all.

8. ASC 09 Dortmund

Saw a game here on my way to a Borussia match. Great little non-league ground in the suburbs. Proper football as it should be. Loved every second and I definitely recommend it.

7. Edinburgh

Just an unbelievable city. Royal Mile is super touristy but I still loved the Scottish capital. Hope to come back one day.

6. Rangers-Hibs

It's a must if you're a groundhopper. There are not that many experiences that can rival a Rangers home game at Ibrox.

5. Borussia Dortmund-Union Berlin

Another classic that you simply MUST experience. I have my reservations about German Ultras scene but their general fan culture is top-notch. Borussia at home is a magnificent event and Westfalenstadion is deservedly one of the greatest stadiums on this planet.

4. Morrissey - live in Krakow

There is not much to say here. I am a huge fan and will always remain loyal. It was a great concert. Any time Moz performs (and does not cancel) is a huge win.

3. Dukla Prague - Sigma Olomouc

Juliska is an absolute beauty. A unique stadium that I was happy to check off my bucket-list. Too bad it was very cold and I hope I can come back on a sunny day in Prague.

2. The Chameleons live at Soundedit festival

The Chameleons are a great live band. I have seen them in the previous incarnation as Chameleons Vox, fronted by Mark Burgess. And now with the return of Reg, they have a new record and a proper tour. I knew I had to see them and it was definitely worth it. Despite a shorter set and awful crowd (Polish concert goers are definitely overrated), they truly rocked.

1. Greenock Morton - Airdrieonians FC

This was my number one ground to visit and I still can't believe I had seen a game at Cappielow. The rain and wind were relentless and I guess it only added to the whole experience of watching football at this historic Scottish ground.
